GrubHub Transitions Campusfood Diners Following Acquisition

CHICAGO, IL–(Marketwire -03/08/12)– GrubHub, the nation’s leading online and mobile food ordering service, invites college diners to pack up and move on in as the Campusfood brand becomes a part of GrubHub. Following the September acquisition of Campusfood, college diners will now be prompted to transition their account to GrubHub when they visit Campusfood.com.

With online and mobile ordering from more than 13,000 restaurants in more than 300 cities, including restaurants previously available on Campusfood, GrubHub allows diners to order food anytime, whether at the library or home for summer break. College diners simply enter their college name or address into GrubHub’s website or mobile apps to see available delivery and pickup restaurants.

“College diners are notoriously loyal to their local establishments,” said Matt Maloney, GrubHub co-founder and CEO. “GrubHub can help them find exactly what they want, while also introducing local gems they otherwise might not have known.”

While the Campusfood website will not be shut down immediately, Campusfood diners who transition their account to GrubHub now can immediately enjoy the following features:

  • Free Grub for anyone who has placed more than one order on Campusfood between Sept. 1, 2011 and March 1, 2012
  • Access to more than 250,000 restaurant menus
  • See the highest-rated restaurants
  • Pay for food with PayPal™
  • Tip with cash
